The things that actually fail
Not general advice, just the specific traps in this document’s own rules.
- The visitor visa does NOT require the studio stamp on the back: that rule belongs to the Canadian passport and PR card. Being told otherwise is the most common piece of bad advice about Canadian photos.
- Black-and-white is acceptable for the TRV.
- An eTA (the visa-exempt electronic authorization) requires no photograph at all: if you only need an eTA, you do not need us.
