The things that actually fail
Not general advice, just the specific traps in this document’s own rules.
- Germany requires the print at 600 dpi or better on high-quality paper: a drugstore print often is not.
- One Schengen photo is accepted by all 29 states, but the background colour guidance genuinely differs between them.
- Face height is measured chin to forehead EXCLUDING hair, which is why a tall hairstyle does not help you fill the frame.
