The things that actually fail
Not general advice, just the specific traps in this document’s own rules.
- You may not crop your photo from your passport bio page: the portal names this explicitly, because it is what most applicants try first.
- Hair must be tied back and both ears visible. Ear visibility is enforced and is unusual for a Western applicant.
- No headgear.
- The face must sit inside the guide circle with the shoulders inside the box: it is a framing spec, not a head-height measurement.
